Teaching Interests

Dr. Kotha’s teaching interest includes Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Calculations, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Scholarly Interests

Dr. Kotha’s research focuses on formulation development, characterization, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of small molecules, macromolecule loaded polymer, lipid, and protein toxins-based nanoparticle drug delivery systems for treating various pulmonary diseases such as asthma, COVID-19, lung cancer, and breast cancer. He is interested in applying his interdisciplinary research experience in the evaluation of entry, intracellular trafficking, and delivery of therapeutics by non-viral based drug delivery systems inside the cell using immunoassays, fluorescence microscopy, and live cell imaging. Dr. Kotha is also interested in the mechanical and biological evaluation of novel biomaterials for drug delivery and tissue engineering applications.
