Position Reports to – Senior Director of Admissions and Recruitment, Larkin University
Larkin University (LU) is a private non-profit higher education institution focusing on master’s and doctoral level programs in health professions to empower diverse graduates who reflect the demographics of the healthcare needs of the communities we serve.
The Office of Student Affairs and Admissions (OSAA) is responsible for the recruitment and admission of students, as well as providing academic support services, wellness services, financial services, event planning, leadership development, career counseling, and advising.
This position will serve as the Coordinator for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment within the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions at Larkin University and is responsible for managing applicant files and communication to applicants within the Office of Admissions, assisting with admissions event planning and implementation, managing social media, assistance with incoming calls and emails from prospective applicants and providing support to the Office of Admissions team. There may be times, with advance notice, that some evening or weekend hours may be required. The position reports to the Senior Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
Responsibilities:
• Engage with prospective and accepted students about admission requirements and application status through email and phone.
• Admissions Marketing Support: Assist in developing marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content, to promote the university’s programs and attract prospective students.
• Responsible for managing social media and marketing for recruitment purposes.
• Creating marketing flyers and content for social media, the website, and email communications.
• Responsible for tracking matriculation requirements for admitted students
• Coordinate recruitment registration.
• Order recruitment materials and maintain inventory.
• Coordinate budget tracking
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal skills including public speaking.
• Proven ability to prioritize and organize.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with technology and software. Must know how to use Office products with advanced knowledge of Outlook and Excel (including formulas).
• Experience with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Ability to work with a diverse population and within a team structure.
• Valid Florida driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional admissions experience in higher education
• Experience with graduate/professional students and programs
• Experience with Canva or other graphic design tool
