Data analysis and systems thinking perspectives in executing business simulation games

This study seeks to examine the influence of data analysis and systems thinking attitudes on the results of simulation games. Simulations establish an interactive setting in which students may test various business strategies and observe the consequences of their choices, so enhancing their practical problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Simulation games enable students to examine market data, react to rival moves, and formulate customer-centric plans through a systems thinking approach, thereby enhancing critical thinking via data analysis. The simulation’s framework frequently necessitates a systems thinking approach, requiring students to perceive the business comprehensively and grasp the interactions among various business divisions. These activities cultivate a fundamental talent in precise data analysis and outcome prediction through simulations, including market trend forecasting and operational optimization (Butzke et al., 2018). In addition, this study investigates the potential mediating or moderating effects of data analysis attitudes on systems thinking attitudes and the outcomes of simulation games.
