Dr. Leonette Kemp, is a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at Miami Cancer Institute and Baptist Health South Florida. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with emphasis in Pain and Palliative Care at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Kemp accepted a clinical staff pharmacist position at Methodist University Hospital in 2007 working in both oncology and palliative care. She was promoted to a clinical pharmacy specialist as a result of her work in helping to establish clinical pharmacy services with the palliative care and oncology service lines over her 11-year career at that institution. Dr. Kemp served as a clinical preceptor for the University of Tennessee, the University of Mississippi, and the Methodist Hospice and Palliative Care Medical Fellowship in the areas of oncology, pain and palliative care, precepting pharmacy students, pharmacy residents and medical fellows.

In June 2019, Dr. Kemp accepted a clinical pharmacy specialist position at Baptist Hospital of Miami working with hematology and bone marrow transplant service lines and she helped to establish clinical pharmacy services within these settings. She currently serves as adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University in oncology and is a clinical preceptor for Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida A&M Universities pharmacy students. Additionally, Dr. Kemp is actively involved in PGY-2 oncology training program at Miami Cancer Institute, and she is the residency program education coordinator. She is a member of ASTCT, HOPA, ASHP and FSHP.
